BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Your appointment request is very important to us at The Secret Garden of Beauty, they are reserved especially for you and we understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. Due to a large number of no shows and late cancelations on sought after appointment times, we have a Strict Cancellation Policy - Please respect this policy and familiarise yourself with it before booking.

  • Over 18 years of age only for bookings.

  • All cancellations require 48hrs notice - If you cancel within the 48hr period you will be charged 50% of your treatment cost. If you no show or fail to contact us and cancel your appointment you will be charged in full. Please note we cannot rebook any future appointments until this charge is paid.

  • Our cancellation policy covers ANY form of cancellation within 48 hours - These include covid, childcare related issues, car breakdowns, illness and so forth. If we cancel an appointment due to a therapist related issue we will call to notify you and offer either a rescheule at our next available time or you may cancel and we will refund your deposit in full.

  • We take between 10%-25% deposit to secure all online bookings for clients. The amount is dependant on how many visits you have previoulsy had with us.

  • If you have failed to adhere to our booking and cancellation policy previously, your desposit amount will be increased to 50% or payment in full may be requested.

  • Please make sure you arrive on time for your appointment. If you are late this may impact your treatment time and you will still be charged in full.

  • It is our clients responsibility to call into our salon at least 48hours prior to treatment for a patch test, if you fail to do so you will still be charged.

  • We will not tolerate abusive language towards our staff on the matter. We understand our booking and cancellation policy may not suit you and sadly do understand if do not wish to book with us.

  • Please note: If you have failed to adhere to our booking and cancellation policy previously, have had multiple cancellations, or multiple rescheduling last minute it will result in payment being asked for in full or booking being declined.

  • Vouchers cannot be replaced when misplaced, lost or stolen. You have a 12 month period from purchase to use your voucher.

  • All vouchers within the 12 month expiry date are still valid and can be used against product purchases or treatments.

Parking

Parking is not available on site. Please do take note of the parking terms within the residential areas.
There is an open air carpark with parking available across the road from the salon; Council, Wyndham St, Barry CF63 4EL with 2 hour free parking, or £2 for 2-4 hours.

Patient Accessibility

Unfortunately, we only have one room downstairs on the ground floor that can accommodate wheelchair access. This is used for Lash and Brow Treatments, Massage, Facials and Foot Health Clinic.
There is no access to a toilet on the ground floor. Should you have any disabilities that need accommodating during your visit please let us know upon booking.

Hygiene Information

Our hygiene factor guarantees a no ‘double-dip policy’. The quality of our wax and post-treatment care products will ensure that you get an excellent treatment every time.

Client Care

It is our policy not to carry out waxing treatments during client pregnancy, excluding facial waxing. Many women experience changes in hair texture and growth during pregnancy due to increased blood flow to the skin. Swelling, increased sensitivity, and skin irritation can make waxing more harmful than beneficial in some cases. Intimate waxing over 18’s only.

Vegan and Cruelty-Free

Our waxing is carried out using our hygienic Tea Tree Clean & Easy Roller System ad for our intimate waxing we use an expert advanced hot, paraben, vegan and cruelty-free wax.

How to prepare for your Hair Removal & Intimate Waxing

  • Please make sure you have enough hair growth that the wax is effective.

  • Short, spikey hairs will not be removed easily.

  • An exfoliation of the area helps to remove dead skin and allows the stubborn hairs from underneath the skin to be removed as well.

  • If your intimate area is a little longer, then perhaps a pre-trim will make it more comfortable for you.

  • We advise no sunbeds or tanning for at least 5 days after a hair removal appointment.

  • If you are using Retinol or any resurfacing products on your face please avoid these for a week beforehand as it can cause sores and burns.

  • It’s important to make your therapist aware of any skin treatments and products before waxing.
